Subject: Home at Last

When the quarentine finally lifted, an irate bluerider was one of the first to show up at High Reaches Weyr. Normally easy-going and cheerful, said bluerider was in such a fit that even her lifemate was taken aback. Its one thing to be trapped inside the weyr for weeks on end — its another to be stuck at Telgar Weyr, away from your home, friends, and family for the entire time! She had the misfortune of being out of the area when the quarentine was put in place, and was left to the sufferance of Telgar in the meantime. (And rumors suggest that Telgar is happy she's finally gone. Her dragon ate a lot of their cheese while they were there, too.)

Subject: Oldtimer + Proddy = Trouble

Riders from the present at High Reaches have been mumbling and groaning about Cloudburst in general, and the Cloudburst's want for political power at HRW. Cloudburst have been complaining about the current Weyrleaders and how they think they should be in power. This is already established, no?

What HRW didn't count on was a Cloudburst green going proddy.

Recently, Cloudburst dragonhealer Thiern's green Thranduith has been looking mighty glowy, and Thiern has been acting a bit more flirtatious than usual. Knowing Thiern's general apathetic and harsh disposition, it has most of Cloudburst acting nervous. The glowiness of Thranduith has the rest of HRW acting nervous — perhaps there's some remnant of that disease that could get the catching rider or dragon sick.

In general, folks have been trying to steer away from Thiern, yet dragons have been getting gradually closer to Thranduith. The broody green doesn't seem to mind, and her rider is acting plainly oblivious.

OOC: Anyone who wants to is welcome to @send Thiern a time that's good if they'd like to be in this flight, but as it is a part of the TP, it is predetermined. Thanks. :)

"Pssst. Did y'hear about what Imelya heard from Caet who heard from Sheval what he saw last night, cleaning?"

"Naw, but with a gossip chain like that, it's gotta be good, mmm?"

"Bet your unwashed neck it is. Seems Weyrsecond Wyn went and nabbed herself another man. And you're not gonna -believe- who it is."

"If you're going to tell me it's that oldtime bronzerider, C'radoc, that's anything but news. We all know the weyrsecond. She likes men, even if she never keeps any of 'em around long. And those two have been trying to play each other since before Cadgwith rose. I figger he thinks he can get in good with the leaders of -this- time, and she? Shells, I never know what she's thinking. Probably some scheme though… remember her as a candidate?"

*snicker* "The boots? That was the whole group of 'em, but yeah, I remember. Still… neither of them are acting like they've got any games going. Talking quietly, almost romantic-like, you might say. Kissed him right in the middle of the caverns before they left. For her weyr, if the girl as took breakfast up to the watchrider's any source of news."

"Romance? Don't make me laugh. That one's as cold as the glacier out back when she wants to be, and he's no better. Worse, actually, with his ambitions. Now get back to that cleaning, don't you be thinking I didn't notice that the dishes ain't getting done while you yap!"

OOC: This entry brought to you by the Thomas Crown Affair. Here's to the fear of being trapped, and just -what- effect will this new development have on the shifting politics of HRW's dual leadership is anyone's guess.
