Taida's Groovalicious Earth-muffin Hippie Green Yshanth
Oh there's no fire in the fireplace there's no carpet on the floor
Don't try to order dinner, there's no kitchen anymore
But if the road's been kind of bumpy and you need to rest a spell
Well, welcome home, to Happiness Hotel!

Groovalicious Flower Power Egg

Psychadelic splendor swirls in liquified ecstacy around this little egg: passion's purple, love's pink blush, adventure's blue, and the bright, brilliant neon-green that's whorled in thick and heady circles of cheap paint. Thin tendrils of pale smoke snake along one gentle curve of the shell, dreamily weaving their slender path through the masses. Groovy man, /groovy/. Bliss and naviety layer hue over hue, tone over tone, demanding peace amidst a blur of rastafarian hazy-gold that barely mutes the cacophony of colors.

Hatching Message

Groovalicious Flower Power Egg fights the good fight, but the dynamic little trouble-maker inside /shall/ overcome. Despite the protests of psychadelic shell, colors fall and swirl, melting like a dream. Melting. Molting. Moulding… they taint, for a moment, the wetly-dark hide of the dragonet as she suddenly just appears.

Groovalicious Earth-muffin Hippie Green Dragonet

Wildfire and wildflowers come together along the swift and graceful curves of this slim-cut dragon, burning to gold the field of hemp that underlays those more vibrant, virulent hues: sunfire lights salient hooks of 'ridges and sails, running as rastafarian braids along her snakey spine and down the coil of her daring and determined tail. The rest of her petite frame blossoms with green in every earth-grown shade and hue, the colors scurrying to cover each sharp angle or flowing, lilting curve, and even her deep-set eyes swirl and melt with pyschadelic glee. Private Impression Message

The world /melts/: pink and green, purples, golds, liquid blues… the world swirls in splediforous colors impossble to track. The Sands fall away. The heat. The noise. The dragonets. All of it gone as if a rainbow turned solid and painted the walls with all its colors. But hey man, who cares? Because there she is, this lifemate of yours, her thoughts almost shyly brushing along your mind: peace… love… laughter… all things good are suddenly yours, and hers, and together you make them one. And, leaving wildflowers blossoming with every touch, she simply says: » We are Yshanth. «

Theme Inspiration

It's not that easy bein' green;
Havint to spend each day the color of the leaves.
When I think it could be nicer being red, or yellow or gold -
Or something much more color like that.

It's not easy bein' green.
It seems you blend in with so many other, ordinary things
And people tend to pass you over 'cause you're not standing out like
flashy sparkles in the water, or stars in the sky.

But green's the color of Spring.
And green can be cool and friendly-like.
And green can be big like an ocean, or important like a mountain
Or tall like a tree.

When green is all there is to be
It could make you wonder why, but why wonder why?
Wonder, I am green, and it'll do fine,
It's beautiful!
And I think it's what I want to be.
-kermit the frog

Sun rises, night falls, sometimes the sky calls.
Is that a song there, and do I belong there?
I've never been there, but I know the way.

Name Inspiration

Yshanth (Yee-shawnth) comes from a character in Guy Gavriel Kay's book, _The Summer Tree) (Fionavar Tapestry I), Ysanne. She was a Seer: beautiful, powerful, tragic, and held a deep connection the land upon which she lived. In the end she gave up not only her life, but her soul — her existence, now, in the past, and in the future, so that her world might survive.

Yshanth, I think, shares some of that determination and activism. She is a passionate, untempered soul who gives everything her all, in all that she does. Nuff admits she also inspired Yshanth on her hippie-ish little sister who struggles everyday to save the world from the people exploiting it, and never gives up. But still has this wonderful sense of humour and sense of self, that inspires people. I know I'd like a dragon like that! We hope you would too, Taida. :)

Mindvoice

Yshanth tastes, in your head, like the world after the rain: fresh, clean, cool and touched by all the smells of nature. She leaves flowers behind, wherever she touches, like Aslan from Narnia leaves them with his footsteps. And all of it is braided together like a crown of wildflowers.

Physicalities

Yshanth is just on the smaller size of greens, with swift, elegant curves and tidy angles. Its not that she's beautiful, or perfect, though of course you would probably think so, but just that she's really well put together: a sleek, athletic build, much like Chayath in miniature. She is not as sultry as some of the other greens in the clutch, but more… easy going in her bones. A salubrious, healthy, delightful little green with a bit of the wild-child in her.

Her hide is, unlike Misumith's apple-green or Halaith and Ishirath's jewel'd green, a jungle of wildflowers in green and green and green again. Dancing colors, swift and wild, reflecting her variable nature and innate connection to the earth.

She would have been marijuana-colored, if we weren't afraid of appearing to condone illegal activities. :P So instead, overall, Yshanth is the more sturdy green of the hemp plant as it ripens. A really lovely, lush greeny lit with Tiareth's sunshine-gold. Every shade of green in nature, from the mossy growth of the underbrush to the sunsplit canopy of a rainforest, has been braided into Yshanth's lovely hide. Its not that she's all bright or mixed up or anything, the greens blend and flow, melting together and apart again to make a beautiful landscape of colors. Her wings are alive, tie-dyed with gentle, summery colors. And like those mood-ring's for eyes that all dragons have, Yshanth's wings reflect her moods and desires, disappointments and passions moreso than the rest.

Think a flower-power child, Taida. Alive and free-willed, content in tie-dyed clothes and comfortable birkenstocks.

Personality

There's not a word yet for old friends who've just met.
Part heaven, part space, or have I found my place?
You can just visit, but I plan to stay…

Hey man, Yshanth is Groooooovy! She's a free-spirited, free-willed, passionate dragon with no little determination and lots of delight in life. She is the protester, the activist, the tree-hugger, the girl. The gardener, the writer, the poet, the song. She is laughter. She is light. She is the glow of starlight. She is /Yshanth/. And she is yours.

Being so connected to the earth means Yshanth is never happier than when she's rolling around in it: dust, dirt, mud, snow… it makes no difference. And its all the more fun if you, Taida, come play with her. She likes too, sure, why not. And air. But that's not as fun as rolling about in the dirt. Dirt dirt dirt. Feels /good/. Trees to. Especially in the late spring and summer, Yshanth can walk into a field or a forest, and just disappear. Its as if nature recognized her as one of its own, and is happy enough to swallow her right up again.

When she does finally take to the air, Yshanth will do you proud… when she's paying attention. And she's not always paying attention – watching an avian, watching a fish, watching a cloud that looks like the wherry she had for lunch… » Hrm? Oh yes. Mind the spires. Hang on. « ** whooooosh

**

I'd recommend making sure you have some really really good straps, Taida. Not that Yshanth would ever mean to drop you… but you never know.

Come and go with me, its more fun to share,
We'll both be completely at home in midair.
We're flying, not walki', on featherless wings.
We can hold onto live like invisible strings.
- gonzo

Love. Yshanth loves (and lives), without care or discrimination. When she's proddy? Well, who cares. She's proddy. She still likes most everyone and everything just the same as before. Perhaps, when Yshanth's hide starts to blossom with more maturity, it is Taida that turns more sultry and seductive? Not in the usual over-the-top green-rider way, but just more confident in her sexuality and sense of place? Just a thought. :) Or Yshanth could deal with proddiness differently each and every time: jealous, delighted, possessive, nonchalant, angry, whiney…. whatever. She's full of suprise, this dragonet. :)

Yshanth also loves to be taken care of. She doesn't have to be perfectly oiled and polished, but she loves just being rubbed and coddled because it means she is close to you, Taida. Comfort. Comfort is good, moreso than being perfectly groomed. And its the darkest bits of her along chin and lower legs that always itches the most (or so she keeps saying).

But Yshanth also likes to take care of people. Taida most espeicially, of course: » Wear your scarf dear. « Keep you warm. Keep you happy. Coddle you when you get a cold or are feeling blue. She's the best at making like a hot-chocolate and turning the world back into a happy, psychedlic place to be. For you. For her clutchmates. For everyone. Noone should ever be unhappy.

Sweetums lay your ugly head
Down upon your wretched bed
Close your eyes and go to sleep
Rest your giant hulking heap
Sweetums is so sweet and cute
Go to sleep you stupid brute
- Robin the frog.

In the end, Taida. Yshanth will be what you make her to be. We just hope we've given you some fertile ground from which to sprout wings and /fly/. :)

This looks familiar, vaguely familiar,
Almost unreal, yet it's too soon to feel yet.
Close to my soul, and yet so far away.
I'm going to go back there someday.
-gonzo.
